"Wheels Turning Inward" is a is a rich collection of over fifty poems, following a poet’s mythic and spiritual journey that crosses easily onto the paths of many contemplative traditions. The artwork at the top of this page, is one image found in the Gordon Moore Memorial stain glass window at Trinity Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas, by the artist Kim Clark Renteria. The image of these three circles, is emblematic of both the Trinity and the title for this new collection of poetry now available from Friesen Press.

The Promise

I have often wondered

If you ever pause and in a quiet moment,

Stop and think of us

Of the passions we felt, one for the other

And the love we found.

Feeling not the pain of our separation

But rather, the warm memories of a dream shared in sleep,

When once I held you in these arms.

Though you are no longer mine, even so,

I pray that you are happy, safe, and loved,

Like a women such as you should always be loved,

Wishing it was me loving you.

As for myself, I will surely love again,

Though not in quite the same way I first loved you,

And if love has the power to transcend mortal time.

Perhaps in some other life or time we will meet,

And knowing each other as kindred souls

Fall in love again, as once we were.

To bring some small peace unto this world.
